Comment Policy
I’d love to hear from you, and for this blog to be a place where others can connect with each other over shared interests. Please keep in mind that the things I write about are my own opinions and that everyone brings a different perspective to the table. This isn’t a space for criticism or harsh comments, but rather a forum for us to all learn a little from each other. I reserve the right to delete or not approve comments that are negative, or don’t foster collaboration and the goal of providing knowledge and helping others.
Disclosure Policy
In 2009, the Federal Trade Commission {FTC} created revised endorsement and testimonial guidelines in order to protect consumers from intentionally misleading paid advertising. The guidelines are a little wordy, but basically, state that bloggers and other word of mouth advertisers are subject to the same truthful advertising laws as other forms of advertising. So – per these guidelines (and my own personal philosophy!) I think it is important that everyone understand my policies:
- This is a personal blog written and edited by me. My main objective with this blog is to provide information and a source of stress relief to anyone who reads it. I want to build a community and trust above all else, but I know that we won’t all agree all the time. That’s ok, and feel free to express your opinions!
- All the opinions and statements in this blog and via email and social media should be treated as such. I am in no way a doctor or specific expert on all of the subjects discussed in this blog. Any health or medical-related topics are only documentation of my experience and are not to be construed as advice.
- I recommend that if you or your baby are having actual medical issues, you should consult with your doctor or pediatrician.
- Any product claim, statistic, quote, or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.
- I make affiliate income for some of the products I discuss. This means I receive a small commission if you buy something using one of my links. Occasionally I will also receive a product for free to review for the blog. I would never endorse or recommend a product I don’t use and love myself.
- Mentions of affiliate products may not be noted as such in every reference on the site. That said – as a general rule, I participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
- I may use this blog to promote products, services, or other businesses that I’ve found useful in my life and that I think others would find useful as well. If I’m ever paid to promote such content, it will be clearly marked on the site.
- If I’m ever given a product to review, my review will be 100% honest and based on my opinion of the product.
