gift guide for dad, the best holiday gifts for dad you can find!

Gift Guide for Dad

Sharing is caring!

I love the holidays. Everyone seems to move into the hustle and bustle of shopping, hot chocolate, and parties. The excitement of getting together with friends and family brings a lot of energy to what would otherwise be a dark and cold season before we get into the new year. It’s the last chance you have to hit any big goals before starting fresh again. You also get to give gifts to those you love.  Since shopping is sometimes challenging, and shopping for dads can be nearly impossible – I’ve put together this gift guide for dad so you can get him something awesome.

What I DON’T love about the holidays is the obligation to get gifts for everyone you know. Let me be clear. I LOVE giving a great gift that I find and know that someone will absolutely love. What I don’t like is feeling forced to find the perfect gift due to an arbitrary time of year. If you’ve seen any of my other gift guides, you probably already know this about me 🙂

I like to stock up on fun and reasonable gifts throughout the year so I have them on hand, and if I find something that is perfect for a friend or family member, I buy it – no matter what time of year. I don’t believe gifts should be relegated to December. I’m posting my gift guides early so that you can stock up on any Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals – and have the gifts for as long as you need them!

This post probably contains affiliate links. That means if you buy something using one of my links I may receive a small commission – at no additional cost to you! How cool is that? It’s kind of boring, but feel free to read my full disclosure if you want more info.

I’m adding to the list (and I update my gift guides at least once a year!) — so if you’re looking for a gift guide for DAD, you’re in the right place.  So many times getting a gift for Dads can seem like an afterthought, but Dad deserves to be celebrated just as much as mom! Here are the top gifts for all the dads in your life. He’ll really appreciate that you took the time to think of him.

The Ultimate Gift Guide For Dad

Tickets to a sporting event with friends

Pick out his favorite team and get him tickets to the big game. Be sure to get two tickets so he can bring someone, bonus if you love the team and it’s you!

NFL Tickets

Video game gift certificates

I don’t know about you, but I have no idea what the next big video game is going to be. And I don’t care. However, my hubby loves to play video games, so in order to let him indulge, I typically stick with gift cards.

Amazon is a great choice, but you can also do Xbox or Playstation store cards if you know that’s the platform they like.

New toolbox with tools included

Maybe his old toolbox is beaten up, or maybe he never got one.  Most dads won’t turn down a new set of tools. While not the sexiest gift, it’s definitely useful. And if he’s super handy, it’s something he’ll use for years to come.

Sports Memorabilia

Any dad who loves sports will love this gift. Hit up Amazon and google memorability + his favorite team and you’ll get a boatload of ideas in various price ranges. No gift guide for dad would be complete without mentioning sports memorabilia. Bonus if he already has a man cave to store it in!

Lounge Pants

Almost every dad I know has his favorite pair of lounge pants. My husband had two pairs of pants he basically lived in until I decided to upgrade his lounge attire.

We’ve tried both UGG brand and Mack Weldon and he loves both options. Not going to lie, these aren’t cheap, but for pants he wears every day I think they’re worth it.

Beer of the Month Club

This is the gift that keeps on giving. Monthly. If the dads in your life love beer, this is an awesome option.

Alternatively, you can get him a book to go with the club so he can study all the beer he needs to put on his list.

Electronic Charging Station

For the dad who has too many devices and not enough outlets. This is a perfect gift to keep him powered up every day.

Beard Trimmer with Vacuum

This one is basically a gift for mom too. Now you won’t have to deal with all the thousands of hairs that seem to multiply across the vanity every time he shaves.

Portable speaker for entertaining

Or for a night outside with the family. What dad doesn’t want a portable speaker?

A new gym bag

I can almost guarantee if his gym bag isn’t new, it’s pretty beat up or smelly. A new gym bag might be just what he needs this season. This option can be worn as a duffel OR backpack for versatility. It has a shoe compartment and is made with waterproof material to keep things dry.

Noise-canceling headphones

Bose is still top of the line in this market, so if you’re willing to splurge – check out these headphones!

Wireless stand charger

This stand charger eliminates the problem of not being able to see your phone from across the room or bed. Pop it on, charge, and enjoy!

Ring Doorbell

Protecting his family is super important to any dad. And being able to ensure his packages don’t walk away during the day is a huge bonus. If you’ve been looking for some extra security, a ring doorbell is an awesome gift for dad.

Any of the above items will make dad feel appreciated and will let him know that you DO notice all the work he’s putting in. Let me know if I left anything awesome off the list.
